MECHANICAL, PROCESS AND ENERGY ENGINEERING
From here on you will find current information from Faculty 4 (from lecturers, examiners, study committees, assigned officials for education, etc.) - latest news is at the top.
Start of the new module "Modeling of Interfacial Phenomena"
In two weeks the new lecture series "Modeling of Interfacial Phenomena" will start. Interfacial phenomena play an essential role in a wide variety of chemical and metallurgical processes. This includes e.g. the mass and heat transfer at single flowed particles as well as in fixed bed processes and syntheses, the evaporation of droplets, the solidification and melting of mineral and metallurgical components or the interaction of gas and liquid in melting baths.
The lecture conveys in a clear way the physical fundamentals as well as the basics for the modeling of these processes. In accompanying seminars and practical courses, students use simple computational models to analyze interfacial phenomena in various process engineering applications.
When and where: Lecture: Thursdays, 08:00-09:30 a.m., KKB-1069; seminars and practicals: Mondays, 6 p.m. or by individual arrangement.
