ISCSM 2023 - Int. Symposium for Continuous Opencast Mining Technology
The Technical University Bergakademie Freiberg was founded here in 1765 as the world's first university for mining and metallurgy and has expanded its profile to a broader spectrum of geological/material, energy and environmental sciences. Based on this tradition, it is an honor and pleasure for us to invite you to the 15th International Symposium on Continuous Open Mining Technology.
ISCSM 2023 focuses on the challenges of our time – globalization, automation/robotics, cost optimization, ecological and social challenges, public acceptance/recruitment of young talent, modern education, research and development. The conference brings together leading scientists, representatives of the mining and mining machinery industry, government administration, specialist services and consulting companies from all over the world.
As part of this symposium, the foundation "Steine-Erden-Bergbau und Umwelt" awards this year's prize. Furthermore, the Chair of Opencast Mining (Univ.-Prof. Carsten Drebenstedt) was awarded the Helmut Härtig Prize.
